A few interesting things are going on in the fantasy football landscape, including several high profile injuries.
Everyone targets injured players. Look at peripheral players who could be affected. (Derek Carr’s absence could be a perfect storm to acquire Amari Cooper.)
There are a lot of people down on Cooper and rightfully so given his recent production. (He owns Pro Football Focus’s worst WR grade for 2017.)
Fortunately, the Fantasy community is fickle, & those 4 weeks are presenting an opportunity to buy a top tier WR at a considerable discount.
It’s hard to see his value dropping much lower… buy now… follow me to freedom!
I tweeted earlier this week that unless you paid up for Gronk, we’re all playing #ZeroTE… this was only slightly tongue in cheek…
The current top ppr top 10 TE list is populated by such giants as Charles Clay, Evan Engram, Jesse James, Jared Cook and Ben Watson… ooph.
TE Plays…
Wk5: ASJ
Wk6: Ryan Griffin
Wk7: Delanie Walker
Wk8: Rudolph
It is purely coincidental that CLE’s schedule goes NYJ, HOU, TEN, & MIN.
Speaking of TEs… Buffalo plays CIN, TPA, OAK, NYJ, & NOS in their next stretch, & Charles Clay is their best pass catcher. He could be fun
I also like Cameron Brate this week versus the Patriots… and everyone else wearing pewter and orange…
Oh, and if Jonnu Smith is still on your waiver wire, grab him. I mean, when are you really going to start Albert Wilson? It’s worth a look.
I’ve always been a “situation greatly impacts performance” guy, but what McVay has made for adjustments caught me by surprise. *coughs* Goff
My favorite adjustment has been increasing Gurley’s targets to 6 per game in the early part of the season. (This is up from just two looks per game under the Jeff Fisher regime.) Receptions are 💰 for a RB. I’m in.
